Creating a New Desigo CC Connector

The following information defines how to create a new Desigo CC Connector.

Accessing the Connector Creation Screen

  1. Log in to Synergy through the Resolute Login Portal using the credentials you established during the account setup or by clicking the [Sign in with Google] button. You will be taken to the Customer List screen, which lists all your created customers using Customer Tiles.
  2. On the Customer List screen, click the [Connectors] button associated with the customer for which you want to create a connector. You will be taken to the Connectors screen.

Note: If you are already within Synergy/Configuration, click "Connectors" in the side navigation menu.

Creating a Desigo CC Connector

1. Access the Connectors screen and click the [New Connector] button. A New Connector dialog box appears.

2. In the New Connector dialog box, click the “Desigo CC” button under Connector Type. Click the [Continue] button.

3. Click the “Connection to private Desigo CC Server through OpenVPN Client for Windows (recommended)” radio button. Click the [Continue] button.

4. Click the “Create New VPN” radio button. Click the [Continue] button.

5. Type a VPN name in the “Create new VPN” text box. Click the [Continue] button.

6. A dialog box appears asking you to please wait while the new VPN is being created. Once the new connector is available, click the [Download] button.

7. A download will appear at the bottom of your Google Chrome browser. As the file is downloading, click the [Finish Later] button.

Creating a Desigo CC Connector with an Existing VPN

1. Access the Connectors screen and click the [New Connector] button. A New Connector dialog box appears.

2. In the New Connector dialog box, click the Desigo CC button under Connector Type. Click the [Continue] button.

3. Click the “Connection to private Desigo CC Server through OpenVPN Client for Windows (recommended)” radio button. Click the [Continue] button.

4. Click the “Select from existing VPN” radio button. Click the [Continue] button.

5. Click the radio button next to the existing VPN you would like to connect to. Click the [Continue] button.

6. The New Connector Configuration dialog box appears. Under “Protocol:”, click the “HTTPS” radio button to select that option.

7. In the Port text box, assign the correct Port based on the HTTP or HTTPS options and the enabled network.

8. In the “Username” text box, type the unique username for the Desigo CC user during the Niagara setup.

9. In the “Password” text box, type the password created for the Desigo CC user during the Niagara setup.

10. In the “Name” text box, type a unique name to reference the connector.

11. Click the [Test Connection] button.

12. A Connection established dialog box appears. Click the [Create] button.

13. The New Connector tile appears in the Connectors screen, confirming connectivity to the Desigo CC module. When the Connector Tile status is “Good”, proceed to Point Mapping.

Creating a Desigo CC Connector on a Public Server

1. Access the Connectors screen and click the [New Connector] button. A New Connector dialog box appears.

2. In the New Connector dialog box, click the “Desigo CC” button under Connector Type. Click the [Continue] button.

3. Click the “Connection to public Desigo CC Server” radio button. Click the [Continue] button.

4. The New Connector Configuration dialog box appears. Under “Protocol”, select either HTTP or “HTTPS” depending on network configuration.

5. In the Port text box, assign the correct Port based on the HTTP or HTTPS options and the enabled network in Niagara.

Note: Typical Port assignment is 8080

6. In the “Username” text box, type the unique username for the Desigo CC user created during the Niagara setup.

7. In the “Password” text box, type the password created for the Desigo CC user during the Niagara setup.

8. In the “Name” text box, create a unique name to reference the Desigo CC Connector.

9. Click the [Test Connection] button.

10. A Connection established dialog box appears. Click the [Create] button.

11. The New Connector tile appears in the Connectors screen, confirming connectivity to the Desigo CC module. When the Connector Tile status is “Good”, proceed to Point Mapping.
