IAQ Scorecard Report
Overview
This report identifies zones being served by Variable Air Volume boxes (VAVs) that will be evaluated for compliance with the latest ASHRAE and CDC guidelines for Indoor Air Quality.
Intent of Report
The intent of this report is to showcase how well an air system meets indoor air quality based on temperature, humidity, and ventilation. Each of those KPIs are evaluated against CDC and ASHRAE recommendations.
Requirements
The VAV equipment type must include the following input point to appear on the report.
- ZoneTemp
Primary Metrics
Key metrics in evaluating the operation of the equipment within the report.
- ZoneTemp less than 68˚F or greater than 80.5˚F
- ZoneHumidity or ReturnHumidity is less than 40% RH or greater than 60%RH
- ZoneCo2 or ReturnCo2 is greater than 800 ppm
- DaFlow is less than MinFlowSp
- Parent AHU OaFlow is less than OaFlowMinSp
Input Points
To appear in a report, each piece of equipment of the appropriate type and with the appropriate equipment tag constraints must have at least one input point. There are two general categories of input points.
Standard Input Points
A standard input point is typically a proxy point with time-series data that is retrieved at regular intervals from a remote data source such as Niagara using a Resolute Connector. Below are the Standard Input Points for the IAQ Scorecard Report.
Point Template | Positional Requirements | Optionality |
---|---|---|
ZoneTemp | The point must be a direct child of the equipment | Mandatory |
CoolMinFlow | The point must be a direct child of the equipment | Optional |
DaFanSts | The point must be a direct child of the parent AHU equipment | Optional |
DaFlow | The point must be a direct child of the equipment | Optional |
DaFlow | The point must be a direct child of the parent AHU equipment | Optional |
DaFlowSp | The point must be a direct child of the equipment | Optional |
HeatMinFlow | The point must be a direct child of the equipment | Optional |
MaTemp | The point must be a direct child of the parent AHU equipment | Optional |
OaFlow | The point must be a direct child of the parent AHU equipment | Optional |
OaFlowMinSp | The point must be a direct child of the parent AHU equipment | Optional |
OaTemp | The point must be a direct child of the parent AHU equipment | Optional |
Occ | The point must be a direct child of the equipment | Optional |
RaCO2 | The point must be a direct child of the parent AHU equipment | Optional |
RaHumidity | The point must be a direct child of the parent AHU equipment | Optional |
RaTemp | The point must be a direct child of the parent AHU equipment | Optional |
ZoneCO2 | The point must be a direct child of the equipment | Optional |
ZoneHumidity | The point must be a direct child of the equipment | Optional |
Rule Input Points
A rule input point is the output of a rule applied to a given piece of equipment. It is a time series representing the presence or absence of a given fault condition. Below are the Rule Input Points for the IAQ Scorecard Report.
Rule Name | Optionality |
---|---|
Rule 3.1.5.1 – Outside Air Damper Does Not Meet the Minimum Position Setpoint | Optional |
