AHU Controller Performance Report

Overview

This report evaluates air handling unit (AHU) cooling valve, heating valve, and outside air damper commands based on total actuator movement and oscillations over time.

Intent of this Report

This report intends to identify improperly tuned loops in the AHU programming.

Requirements

The AHU equipment type must include one of the following input points to appear on the report.

  • ClgCmd
  • OaDmprCmd
  • HtgCmd

Primary Metrics

Key metrics in evaluating the operation of the equipment within the report.

  • ClgCmd commands per hour
  • OaDmprCmd commands per hour
  • HtgCmd commands per hour

Scored KPIs

  • Current Cooling Command vs. Previous Cooling Command (evenly distributed ROS)
  • Current Heating Command vs. Previous Heating Command (evenly distributed ROS)
  • Current Outside Air Damper Command vs. Previous Outside Air Damper Command (evenly distributed ROS)

Input Points

To appear in a report, each piece of equipment of the appropriate type and with the appropriate equipment tag constraints must have at least one input point.

Standard Points

A standard input point is typically a proxy point with the time-series data that is retrieved at regular intervals from a remote data source such as Niagara using a Resolute Connector. Below are Standard Input Points for the AHU Controller Performance Report.

Name Positional Requirements Optionality
ClgCmd The point must be a direct child of the equipment Optional if HtgCmd or OaDmprCmd are available
DaFanSts The point must be a direct child of the parent AHU of the equipment Optional
HtgCmd The point must be a direct child of the equipment Optional if ClgCmd and OaDmprCmd are available
OaDmprCmd The point must be a direct child of the equipment Optional if ClgCmd and HtgCmd are available
