Point Tagging Functionality
The Point Tagging screen is designed to help you quickly tag points and change data for mapped points, dramatically reducing the time it takes to integrate a building.
Applying a Point Template to a Mapped Point
1. Click the “Point Template” cell associated with the point you want to apply a template to and, click the desired Point Template.
Note: Only Point Templates associated with the equipment type that the point belongs to will be available for selection.
2. Click the [Apply Changes] button. The selected template is now applied to the associated point.
Bulk Applying Point Templates
Bulk applying Point Templates allows you to quickly apply a new template or change an existing template for multiple selected points.
1. Use the filter options to narrow down table contents to the Points you want to bulk tag. The [Apply Filter] button becomes active.
2. Click the [Apply Filter] button. The table is filtered based on your selection.
3. Click the dropdown menu directly beneath the “Point Template” column header and click the desired Point Template. The [Apply Changes] button becomes active.
4. Click the [Apply Changes] button. All the filtered items listed in the table are now tagged based on your selection.

Changing a Points Display Name
1. Click a point’s Display Name and, in the text edit box, type a new display name. The [Apply Changes] button becomes active.
2. Click the [Apply Changes] button. The display name is now changed.
Changing a Points Unit Designation
1. Click the “Unit” associated with the point you want to change the data type for and click the desired unit designation. The [Apply Changes] button becomes active.
Note: Only points with the Numeric data type can have unit designations changed.
2. Click the [Apply Changes] button. The selected unit designation is now applied to the associated point.
Bulk Applying Units
Bulk applying units allows you to quickly apply a new unit or change an existing designation for multiple points at a time.
1. Use the filter options to narrow down the table contents to the points you want to change the units of. The [Apply Filter] button becomes active.
2. Click the [Apply Filter] button. The table is filtered based on your selection.
3. Click the dropdown directly beneath the “Unit” column header and click the desired new unit designation. The [Apply Changes] button becomes active.
4. Click the [Apply Changes] button. All the filtered items listed in the table are now tagged based on your selection.
Undoing Changes
Provided you have not already applied your changes, you can quickly reset the changes you made to individual columns by clicking the appropriate "Undo Changes icon". To reset changes across the entire table, click the "Reset All Changes" icon located at the bottom of the screen.
