Equipment Tagging Functionality

The Equipment Tagging screen is designed to help you quickly tag equipment and change data for one of more pieces of equipment, dramatically reducing the time it takes to integrate a building. 

Changing Equipment Display Names

1. Click on a piece of equipment’s display name and type a new name. The [Apply Changes] button becomes active.

2. Click the [Apply Changes] button. The display name is now changed.

Applying a Type to a Piece of Equipment

Before performing the following steps, make sure the Equipment Type filter is set to “Unspecified”.

1. Click a cell in the “Type” column associated with the piece of equipment you want to tag and click the desired tag. The [Apply Changes] button becomes active.

2. Click the [Apply Changes] button. The equipment is now tagged based on your selection.

Bulk Applying a Type to Equipment

Before performing the following steps, make sure the Equipment Type filter is set to “Unspecified".

1. Click either the “Search Asset Path” or the “Search Display Name” search bar and type a query to filter for the desired pieces of equipment you want to associate with an equipment type. The [Apply Filter] button becomes active.

2. Click the [Apply Filter] button. The table is filtered based on your search query.

3. Click the dropdown menu directly beneath the “Type” column header and click the desired equipment type. The [Apply Changes] button becomes active.

4. Click the [Apply Changes] button. All the filtered equipment listed in the table is now associated with the selected type.

Undoing Changes

Provided you have not already applied your changes, you can quickly reset changes you made to individual columns or globally across the entire table by clicking the appropriate "Undo Changes" icon. When you make a change in any of the editable columns, the corresponding Undo Changes icon becomes active as does the [Reset All Changes] button located at the bottom of the screen.
