  • Functionality: When a new user's account is created, the user can have Admin or integrator access.

Airside

  • Parent equipment assigned to terminal equipment units during Equipment Tagging.
  • Functionality: The second step of the Equipment Tagging process is assigning Airside (Parent) Equipment.

Asset

  • A building, sub-building, floor, plant, equipment, points, or a logically related group of systems.
  • Functionality: Access Site Editor to view a building and the configured Assets.

Asset Path

  • A string that describes the location of an Asset in the user's system.
  • Functionality: In many areas of Synergy, a search by Asset Path tool is available to narrow and filter results.

B

Beta

  • The Report status is considered experimental, in that the contents and functionality are still being vetted out.
  • Functionality: A Report will have BETA next to the name in the Reports section of Synergy.

Boolean Value

  • A data type that has two possible values, true or false.
  • Functionality: In Fusion Explorer, point data that has a Boolean Value will be displayed in a bar chart format.

C

Computed Point

  • A function that processes time-series data from at least one input point to calculate data for a new output point.
  • Functionality: Computed Points must be Enabled during the Synergy configuration process.

Computed Point Templates

  • Are designed to be applied to one type of equipment but can accept inputs from other Assets in the building hierarchy to calculate output data.
  • Functionality: Applied Computed Point Templates will be listed in Synergy Computed Point functionality and can be used as a search and filter tool.

D

E

F

Fusion

  • The tool that is used after the integration process is completed to access analytical insights about the performance of a building's equipment and systems.
  • Functionality: Fusion is the second step of the Resolute Platform and is used to access Reports and other analytics.

G

General Availability (GA)

  • The report status is considered stable.
  • Functionality: Reports are listed in the Disabled and Enabled tabs of Reports in Synergy.

H

I

Integrator

  • Synergy and/or Fusion User that is only granted access to view and configure data.
  • Functionality: When a new user's account is created, the user can have Admin or Integrator access.

J

K

L

Last Emit

  • Timestamp for the Rules most recent instance.
  • Functionality: Rules Audit functionality in Synergy allows a user to view the Last Emit timestamp for a Rule.

M

Max Fault Duration

  • Gives an at-a-glance of the fault percentages for a time frame.
  • Functionality: Fusion Analytics displays the Max Fault Duration for applied Rules.

Metadata

  • Is data that provides information about other data and allows more details to be added to equipment types.
  • Functionality: Synergy Site Editor allows Metadata tags to be applied to properly describe equipment and enable the correct rules.

Metric ID

  • Encapsulates all information required to uniquely identify a metric and can include the point's network, building, floor, and equipment.
  • Functionality: In Synergy's Point Mapper, Metric ID's will be displayed to begin the configuration process.

N

O

P

Parent Equipment

  • The equipment assigned to terminal equipment units during Equipment Tagging.
  • Functionality: The second step of the Equipment Tagging Process is assigning Parent (Airside) Equipment.

Plant Relationships

  • Are created to connect Plants, System Loops, and Loops to further refine the equipment layout.
  • Functionality: Plant Relationships are configured in Synergy's Plant Relationships functionality. Configuration allows Rules to be applied to the plant.

Point Mapper

  • Converts Metric ID's to Mapped Points that begin the configuration process.
  • Functionality: Point Mapper allows you to map, unmap, or ignore points from an outside source.

Point Tags

  • Are labels assigned to points to change data for mapped points.
  • Functionality: Mapped Points must be tagged so they can be recognized by the system to configure Computed Points, Rules, and Reports.

Point Template

  • Is designed to be applied to one type of equipment but can accept inputs from other Assets in the building hierarchy to calculate output data.
  • Functionality: Point Templates are recognized by the software to configure Computed Points, Rules, and Reports.

Point Tuple Constraint

  • Stipulates the presence or absence of multiple input points. Taken by themselves each of these points are optional, but the Rule cannot be applied unless at least one of these input points is present.
  • Functionality: Point Tuple Constraints are required for the Rule to create Reports.

Prospects

  • Potential Rule or Computed Point Candidates with errors that prohibit them from becoming functioning.
  • Functionality: Viewing the configuration audit for Rules in the Prospects tab allows the user to make the required changes to allow the Rule to be applied.

Q

R

Raw Points

  • Points that are coming in from an outside source into inputs that feed into Resolute's analytics.
  • Functionality: The start of the Synergy configuration process is to transform the Raw Points coming into usable Mapped Points.

Rule Template

  • A function that takes time-series data from at least one input point to determine if a fault condition exists.
  • Functionality: Rule Templates can be used to search and filter Rule results in Synergy.

S

Site Editor

  • Is used to clean up the Asset hierarchy and is designed to help the user quickly and effectively add data variables to the buildings that are required for the successful application of analytics and computations.
  • Functionality: Site Editor can be used to view the organization of a building and add equipment.

Standard Input Points

  • Are used by Resolute connectors to retrieve time-series data at regular intervals.
  • Functionality: Every Computed Point Template requires at least one Standard Input Point.

Synergy

  • Synergy is the tool used to connect your building to the Resolute Cloud and configure buildings to capture the correct data in the correct formats to ensure the best, most accurate analytics results.
  • Functionality: Synergy is the first step of the configuration process.
