Rules Functionality
Rules functionality allows you to Disable and Enable Rules, view Prospects, and Generate Candidates for mapped points. You should already be on theRules screen of Synergy with points mapped for these directions.
Note: For detailed information about rules, please refer to the Rules Reference document.
Enabling Individual Rules
1. Click the "Disabled" tab.
2. Next to the "Asset" column, select individual Rules to enable by clicking the checkbox next to the associated Rule Candidate. The [Enable Selected] button becomes active
Note: To deselect all Rules, click the select checkbox next to the "Asset" column.
3. Click the [Enabled Selected] button. The Rules Candidates have now been moved to the Enabled tab.
Enabling All Rules
1. Click the "Disabled" tab.
2. Click the [Enable All] button at the bottom of the screen.
Note: You can also bulk select Rules on the page by clicking the checkbox next to the "Asset" column heading.
3. All candidates will now be moved to the Enabled tab.
Disabling Individual Rules
1. Click the "Enabled" tab.
2. Next to the "Asset" column, select individual Rules to disable by clicking the checkbox next to the associated Asset. The [Disable] button becomes active.
Note: To deselect all individual Rules, click the select checkbox next to the "Asset" column.
3. Click the [Disable] button. A confirmation pop-up will appear to confirm your selection. Click the [Yes] button. The Rules will now appear in the Disabled tab.
Disabling Rules in Bulk
1. Click the "Enabled" tab.
2. Click the checkbox next to the "Asset" column heading. All Rules displayed on the page will be selected.
Note: Rules can only be disabled one page at a time. Use the pagination controls to view and select all Enabled Rules.
3. Click the [Disable] button. A confirmation pop-up will appear to confirm your selection.
4. Click the [Yes] button. Rules now appear in the Disabled tab.
Generating Rule Candidates
New Rule Candidates are generated if a Rule instance is deleted or if changes are made to Point Tags or Equipment Types. These Rule Candidates are automatically generated every two hours. However, if you want to see the results of your changes immediately, you can do that on the Generate Candidates screen screen
1. Click the “Generate Candidates” tab.
2. Click the checkbox next to the associated Building Name you want to generate Rule candidates for. The [Generate Candidates] button becomes active.
Note: To select all buildings, click the checkbox next to the "Building Name" column heading.
3. Click the [Generate Candidates] button. The Rules Candidates are generated and available for application.
Note: If new Rule candidates exist, they will be shown on the Disabled tab.
